As all human interaction is conducted through the medium of ritual, be it social, commercial, familial, national or interpersonal; it is important to understand and be proficient with the customs and expectations relating to such rituals. The way we dress, the way we greet each other, the socially expected behavior at such occasions are all conditioned by the traditional values, customs and structures in which we live.
Yajur Veda Australasia is dedicated to teaching others the rituals and social customs that relate to the traditional Vedic culture of ancient India. Although in recent times, this knowledge has been exclusive to the Indian sub-continent, through the hard work and dedication of others, it is now freely available to those sincere Prapannas (aspirants) who wish to enrich their lives and the lives of others, with this timeless ancient wisdom.
Yajur Veda Australasia propagates teachings such as the pancha maha yajnas (Five Great Sacrifices), which comprise of nitya-karma (obligatory rituals), naimittika-karma (occasional rituals), kamya-karma (desirative rituals), niskarmya-karma (unmotivated rituals) and nisidha-karma (related observances); all of which Vedic people must abide by, implement into their lives and teach others in order to be classified as adherents to the Vedic Brahminical culture, philosophy and theology.
